After last weeks USDA report we saw fireworks. Stocks were as per trade expectations, but plantings were below expectations.
This has forced the market up on all commodities. The latter part of the week saw a correction, but the trade is still mindful of these numbers.
With low stocks and lower plantings we could see a very volatile summer and we do not want anything to go wrong!
With nearby demand remaining strong due to the cold weather, ingredients remain in short supply. This is likely to continue into May.
Materials that look good value include Soya Hulls for the summer, Sugar Beet for next winter and Rape for next winter.
