High temperatures in the US continue to dominate market headlines, with excessive heat in the northern states and areas of the corn belt.
The USDA crop progress report downgraded the crop condition scores of wheat, corn and soybeans as temperatures remain elevated.
In the UK, barley harvest is underway. with wheat harvest just around the corner. Harvest in France has been delayed by wet weather and excessive rainfall. the rainfall has raised quality concerns for both French and German wheat, however with less rainfall forecast we expect harvest pace to improve.
Looking to Russia and while harvest pace has been catching up with 2020, yields have been disappointing.
The market could well be impacted significantly as China and US officials continue to have positive trade talks.
